This Privacy Policy describes how Perpetual Protocol ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the PERP GO mobile application (the "App").


1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Account Information:

  • Email Address — If you sign up using email login (via Privy), we collect your email address for authentication purposes only.

Wallet Information:

  • Wallet Addresses — We collect public blockchain wallet addresses when you connect a wallet or create an embedded wallet. Wallet addresses are public information on the blockchain and are not considered personally identifiable information.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Usage Data:

  • App interactions and feature usage

  • Trading activities (order submissions, position changes, market selections)

  • Screen views and navigation patterns

  • App lifecycle events (opens, closes, backgrounding)

  • Device information (platform, app version, operating system)

Error and Performance Data:

  • Crash reports and error logs

  • Performance metrics and response times

  • Session duration and frequency

1.3 Blockchain Data

Transactions you execute through PERP GO are recorded on public blockchains (primarily Arbitrum). This data is permanent, publicly accessible, and cannot be deleted or modified. We do not control blockchain data.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide Services — Enable trading, authentication, and wallet management

  • Improve Functionality — Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience

  • Error Tracking — Identify and fix bugs, crashes, and performance issues

  • Security — Detect and prevent fraudulent activities

  • Support — Respond to your questions and support requests

  • Analytics — Understand user behavior and measure feature adoption

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.


3. Third-Party Services

PERP GO integrates with the following third-party services. Each service may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies:

3.1 Authentication & Wallet Services

Privy (https://privy.io)

  • Purpose: Email-based authentication and embedded wallet creation

  • Data Shared: Email address, wallet addresses

Reown (formerly WalletConnect) (https://reown.com)

  • Purpose: Connect external wallets via WalletConnect protocol

  • Data Shared: Wallet addresses, connection metadata

3.2 Analytics Services

Segment (https://segment.com)

  • Purpose: Analytics event collection and routing

  • Data Shared: Wallet addresses, usage events, device information

Amplitude (https://amplitude.com)

  • Purpose: User behavior analysis and product analytics

  • Data Shared: Usage events, feature interactions (via Segment)

3.3 Error Tracking

Sentry (https://sentry.io)

  • Purpose: Error monitoring, crash reporting, and performance tracking

  • Data Shared: Error logs, device information, session data, wallet addresses (when connected)

3.4 Trading Infrastructure

Hyperliquid Protocol

  • Purpose: Decentralized perpetual futures trading

  • Data Shared: Trading orders, positions, and transactions (on-chain data)

  • Note: Hyperliquid is a decentralized protocol. Transaction data is publicly visible on the blockchain.


4. Data Retention

4.1 Analytics Data (Segment/Amplitude)

Due to technical limitations of our analytics infrastructure, data stored in Segment is retained indefinitely. This includes:

  • Usage events and behavioral data

  • Wallet addresses associated with analytics events

  • Device and session information

4.2 Error Tracking Data (Sentry)

Error reports and performance data are typically retained for 90 days, though retention periods may vary based on our Sentry configuration.

4.3 Account Deletion

If you request account deletion:

  • Privy accounts: Your email and embedded wallet credentials will be removed from Privy's systems

  • Analytics data: Due to technical limitations, historical analytics data in Segment will remain

  • Blockchain data: Transaction history on public blockchains cannot be deleted

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With third-party services listed in Section 3 to operate the App

  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process

  • Safety and Security: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public

  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets


6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Control

  • Disconnect Wallet: You can disconnect your wallet at any time to stop associating new activity with your wallet address

  • Export Private Keys: For Privy embedded wallets, you can export your private key at go-export.perp.com

  • Account Deletion: You can request deletion of your Privy account (see Account Deletion)

6.2 Opt-Out Limitations

Due to the nature of our services:

  • Analytics are essential for app functionality and cannot be individually opted out

  • Error tracking helps us maintain app stability and security

  • Blockchain transactions are permanently public

6.3 Data Requests

To request information about your data or exercise your rights, please join our Discord server and open a ticket in the #open-a-ticket channel.


7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)

  • Automatic filtering of sensitive information (private keys, passwords) from error logs

  • Secure authentication through Privy and WalletConnect protocols

  • Regular security reviews and updates

However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, private keys, and access credentials.


8. Children's Privacy

PERP GO is not intended for users under the age of 18 (or the legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us via our support channels.


9. International Data Transfers

PERP GO is operated globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using PERP GO, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.


10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on this page. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
